Good Food Guide

Dusting off the cobwebs on this blog, here I am again, attempting to document something that perhaps a decade down the line, I will revisit with wonder and marvel at my naivety or my abysmal writing skills that only seem to deteriorate over time.

It is now 2020 and it has been a year of unpredictably all around. The world is dealing with a crisis that no one really saw coming and all of us, myself included are doing our best to cope. Personally, too it has been half a year of being unemployed (by choice, of course) which is much deserved after a decade-long career of virtually no breaks.

Over the last six months, I have been basically refusing to leave the house (secretly thanking the pandemic that has confined us indoors) and rediscovering the gift of time and my love for cooking, baking and just good food in general. A personal best was cooking up a full Malayali sadhya in April for Vishu, everything down to the achaar, from scratch, which led me to think I should be documenting this, if not for the Internet to see, but more so, for myself.

What goals do I set for this blog? Pretty simple. Just a guide to something yummy - that is easy to make, tasty to eat and simple to replicate. Cook. Document. Repeat.

Raising a glass to new beginnings,

Nandita
